About the race
Atheon is a Last Rucker Standing event organized by HardWin Adventures on March 6, 2027 at the HardWin Family Farm in Pegram, Tennessee (2150 Sams Creek Road). Competitors carry a ruck and repeat a marked loop until only one participant remains.
Each lap is about 2.5 miles with roughly 800 ft of climbing. Competitors must complete each loop and return to a roped corral before the next evolution begins; there is a one hour limit per lap. There is no fixed race distance or finish time; the event continues until a single rucker completes one final solo lap to claim the award. If no one returns in time, there is no winner.
Mandatory gear includes a ruck carried on the back at dry weight : men 30 lb, women 20 lb : with weight marked and verified at check in. Trekking poles, weighted vests, plate carriers, and any off‑back weight are not allowed. Ruckers are self supported on course and must carry their own food, water, and supplies; outside aid on the loop is not permitted.
Event logistics include a visible timing clock at the start/finish, course officials stationed on the loop, assigned 10 x 10 canopy spaces for competitors, basic aid stations and restrooms at the start area, and live race tracking through the HardTracks app. The single award is a custom Atheon axe etched with the event emblem and year.
