Course and logistics

The course starts at a family farm that connects to the Cheatham Wildlife Games Reserve, a park described as roughly 20,000 acres with steep trails and ridge-line views. Terrain includes a mixture of rugged jeep roads and single-track trails through technical sections. Surface breakdown by distance is listed as: 50K roughly half trail and half jeep/gravel roads; 25K about 65% trail; 12K about 75% trail.

Aid stations are placed approximately every 5-6 miles and will provide water, Gatorade, and snacks. Cut-off times are enforced at specific aid stations: a 10-mile aid station cut-off at 3 hours 20 minutes, a 20-mile aid station cut-off at 6.5 hours, and an overall race completion requirement of 9 hours. Organizers request that 50K entrants be capable of finishing within 9 hours.
