About the race
The 12th Annual Give 'Em the Bird event is a community benefit in Easthampton supporting the Easthampton Community Center. It takes place at Millside Park and raises funds that help provide warm meals for families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Last year the event raised $40,000. The event proceeds rain or shine.

- 2K walk
- 5K virtual option
The 5K course is a flat to rolling route past the mills and fields of Easthampton, starting and finishing at Millside Park. Approximately half the course runs on a rail trail closed to traffic and half on rural roads that remain open to traffic. The course will be marked and staffed with volunteers and includes one aid station near mile 2.
The 2K walk also starts and finishes at Millside Park and follows the bike path south toward Union Street, turning around before Union Street. Registration opens on 08/17/2026. In-person registration closes on 11/26/2026 and virtual registration closes on 11/03/2026. Registration fees are $30.00 for the 5K, $25.00 for the 2K walk, and $30.00 for the virtual 5K.
