Run 'Round the Mountain - Open 5K and 10K
Run 'Round the Mountain is part of the 2026 Massachusetts Senior Games and takes place in South Deerfield, MA on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. The event is presented by the Massachusetts Senior Games and is open to all ages; it also serves as a 2027 National Senior Games qualifying event for athletes aged 50 and over.

The 10K follows a clockwise loop around the base of DCR's Sugarloaf Mountain with mountain and river views, climbing Hillside Road and descending to River Road before returning to Sugarloaf Street. The 5K is a flat out-and-back that proceeds to North Main and returns via the same route; the 5K walk follows the same course as the 5K run and is timed with bibs and medals.
Water tables are positioned on course at about 1.5 miles and 2.2 miles, with an additional table at the finish. Race check-in and bib and shirt pickup occur at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church on Sugarloaf Street. Online registration closes November 8; day-of registration is available for an additional fee and requires a signed waiver.
Entry fees differ by distance and by online versus day-of registration. U.S. veterans may enter free. All participants receive unisex MASG shirts. Awards are given after the final finisher and include overall male and female winners plus age group awards; winners must be present to collect awards.
