Girls on the Run Western Colorado 5K - Frisco
The event is a season-closing celebratory 5K for Girls on the Run Western Colorado program participants and community members. It takes place on October 24, 2026, at Summit Middle School in Frisco, CO. The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and the event is presented as a noncompetitive celebration that emphasizes completion and confidence. Typical finish times noted by the council range from about 25 minutes for the fastest participants to 30–50 minutes for most; participants may walk, run, roll, push or skip at their own pace.
Every registered participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal and GOTR Western Colorado swag. The council provides race bibs, assigns a running buddy for each participant, and operates a safety plan that includes course monitoring and head counts. The course is described as accessible for people with disabilities and designated parking is available.
Additional event features include a celebration village with booths, merchandise for sale, and a printed course map. Family, friends and community members may participate but must register; all registrations include a liability waiver. The council lists local and national partners and sponsors involved with the 5K.
