Girls on the Run Southwest Michigan Spring 5K
The Spring 2026 Celebratory 5K takes place at Whirlpool Corporate Headquarters in Benton Harbor, Michigan on Friday, May 8, 2026. The event serves as the season-closing 5K for Girls on the Run Southwest Michigan and is intended to give program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment.
Families are encouraged to attend as spectators; limited seating is available across the campus and attendees are invited to bring a lawn chair if desired. A designated "GOTR 5k Village" area will be reserved only for girls and their coaches or volunteers for safety reasons. Coaches will share dismissal plans with teams as details are finalized.
There are paid registration categories for non-program participants. The Community Runner category has a fee of $35 and is described as running at a comfortable pace while serving as a positive role model. The Running Buddy category has a fee of $15 and involves running with a girl or site to encourage participants and help keep the route safe. Program participants and coaches are already registered for the 5K and do not need to register again. The organizer reserves the right to remove any spectator.
