Lory's Place 5K Run Walk Rock takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Saint Joseph, Michigan at Lory’s Place, 445 Upton Drive, 49085. The event offers three distance options:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 5K Virtual Run/Walk
Registration for the events opens January 30, 2026. Entry fees start at $20 and increase through scheduled pricing tiers, with late registration available at a higher fee. Packet pickup is available both before the event and on race day at Lory’s Place. Parking is provided in the Whirlpool lot; attendees are asked to approach via Momany Drive and turn left onto Upton.
Purpose, awards and other information
This is the 21st anniversary of the Run Walk Rock event, held to benefit Lory’s Place, a Grief Healing and Education Center. Lory’s Place has offered bereavement programs since 2004 and reports supporting over 60,000 children and adults, with more than 60 peer support groups across Allegan, Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties.
Custom medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in male and female categories across the listed age groups (10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+). Overall male and female winners in run and walk categories receive a signature white rocking chair. A rocking chair raffle and a school participation challenge with a traveling trophy and a $500 award are also part of the event. Group discounts apply for registrants of four or more.
