Event Details
The Lory's Place Run Walk Rock is a 5K event on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Saint Joseph, Michigan. It marks the 22nd anniversary of the event, which benefits Lory's Place, a grief healing and education center. All programs and services at Lory's Place are free of charge, and the organization has provided support to over 63,000 children, teens, and adults since opening in 2004, with programs extending across Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties.

Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 5K Virtual Run/Walk
The registration fee starts at $20 for an early "Groundhog Day Special." Standard registration is $25, increasing periodically up to $40 for late registration on race day. A group discount of $5 per person is available for groups of four or more.
Event Features and Logistics
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Lory's Place (445 Upton Drive) and on race morning. The starting location is 445 Upton Drive. Parking is available in Whirlpool lots, accessible via Momany Drive and Upton Drive.
This year introduces new team competitions. The school athletic team or sports organization with the highest number of registered participants can win a $500 prize. A separate "Champions for Children Challenge" for school representatives offers a chance to win a traveling trophy and another $500 prize.
A Rocking Chair Raffle is open to all participants. Age-group medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in ten different age groups for both runners and walkers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
