Girls on the Run South Georgia Valdosta 5K
The Girls on the Run Valdosta 5K is an end-of-season celebratory event held on November 14, 2026 at the Historic Lowndes County Courthouse in Valdosta, Georgia. The closing 5K gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment and all registered finishers receive a commemorative medal.
The event distance is 5K which equals 3.1 miles. It is presented as a non-competitive, celebratory experience; the fastest participants may complete the course in about 25 minutes, while most finish between 30 and 50 minutes. Participants may walk, run, roll, push or skip at their preferred pace.
Registration pricing is tiered: early bird registration is $20 through September 6, and general registration is $25 from September 7 through the event day. Program participants and coaches are registered by the council and do not need to register separately. For non-program participants, the registration price increases three weeks before the event.
Safety and accessibility measures are in place: every participant must wear a race bib, running buddies are used for participant support, the course is monitored with head counts, and designated parking spots are available.
