LHSXC Turkey Trot 5K
The LHSXC Turkey Trot 5K is scheduled for November 26, 2026 in Valdosta, Georgia at 800 Gornto Rd. The event benefits the LHS Cross Country Team and features a single 5K running race held on a one loop course that begins and ends at St. John.
Registration opens on June 30, 2026 and closes on November 5, 2026. The registration fee is $30.00. Awards are given for First Place Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, and for 1st and 2nd place in each of nine age divisions: 10 and under, 11 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
The course starts at St. John through the rear entrance and follows roads around the neighborhood in one loop, including Berkley Dr., Howell Brooke Dr., Mack Dr., Georgia Ave., Clyde Ave., Newbern St., W. Park Ave., Michael Terrace, W. Cranford Ave., Cary St., Azalea Dr., White Oak Dr., Azalea Ct., and Gornto Rd., before returning into the St. John Church parking lot for the finish.
