Girls on the Run Northern Colorado 5K Celebration
The event is a season-closing celebratory 5K held on November 1, 2026 at Spring Canyon Park, 3156 S Overland Trail, Fort Collins, CO 80526. The 5K serves as the final activity for Girls on the Run teams and is intended to give program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment. Every participant in the program receives a commemorative medal.
The course for a 5K is 3.1 miles and is designed to be accessible so that people can walk, run, push or roll at their own pace. Races take place on closed courses with staff and volunteers present to help keep participants safe and on course. For safety reasons, every runner must wear a race bib, and participants are supported on course by an adult such as a coach or family member.
Additional features at the event include cheer card stations and happy hair stations among other activities aimed at celebration. Program participants and coaches are already registered for the 5K and will receive bibs from coaches at team signs on race day. Registration for others is available with an online fee of $31.99 including fees or a race day fee of $38.35. All registrations include liability waivers.
