Girls on the Run Northeast Wisconsin 5K
Girls on the Run Northeast Wisconsin holds a non-competitive, end-of-season 5K celebration on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at Ariens Nordic Center in Brillion, WI. The course is 3.1 miles and serves as a closing event for program teams, giving participants a tangible sense of accomplishment.
Registered program participants who complete the 5K receive a commemorative medal. Additional running buddies and community registrants receive a commemorative item such as a shirt, hat, or other item. Finish line refreshments are provided by area businesses. There is one water stop on the course; participants who expect to need more water are encouraged to bring a personal bottle. Free parking and designated accessible parking spots are available.
The event uses a running buddy system and requires each participant to wear a race bib. The organizers monitor the course, conduct head counts, and maintain a safety plan that trains staff and volunteers to respond to incidents. All registrants complete liability waivers. Program participants and coaches are already signed up and do not need to register; family members, friends, and other community members must register to participate.
Volunteers support set up, registration, course marshals, buddy roles, water stations, cheer stations, and tear down. Volunteers appointed through the council undergo a background check. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
