Capital Credit Union Houdini 10K
The Capital Credit Union Houdini 10K is a road race in Appleton, Wisconsin on November 7, 2026. The course is described as scenic and includes the Newberry Trail and the Appleton Locks. The event starts at Houdini Plaza and finishes in Jones Park, where post race food and beverage are provided, including Copper State Brewing Co. beer for those 21 and older. Magicians will stroll the area before and after the race.
Race amenities include a participant shirt, a finisher medal, finish line food, and chip timing. Shirt size exchanges may be handled at the Race Hub at packet pick up or after the event, with extra shirts available at Run Away Shoes when supplies allow.
Packet pick up is offered on the Friday and Saturday before the race at the Jones Park shelter. The course has two water stops, at approximately 2.25 and 4.25 miles, and portable toilets are provided at the start, at each water stop, and at the finish. Strollers and walkers are welcome.
Awards are given to the overall male and female winners and to the top three finishers in each age group: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Awards may be claimed at the Race Hub or picked up at Run Away Shoes in the weeks following the event.
A virtual Houdini 10K option is available. Virtual participants receive the 2026 commemorative finisher medal and participant shirt and a sponsor goody bag. The virtual event is not scored and does not include awards.
Free beginner and intermediate training plans are provided by Run Away Shoes staff. Registration follows published pricing tiers and remains open until the event sells out. The Houdini 10K is part of the 4imprint Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
