Houdini 10K : Appleton, Wisconsin
The Houdini 10K is a 10-kilometer road event in Appleton with a course that passes the Newberry Trail and the Appleton Locks. The field begins near Houdini Plaza and finishes in Jones Park, where finish line food is provided.
Event amenities include a participant shirt, a commemorative finisher medal, chip timing, and finish-line food. Copper State Brewing Co. beer or a soda is available for finishers 21 and older. Two aid stations with water are located at approximately 2.25 miles and 4.25 miles. Portable toilets are provided at the start area, at each water stop, and at the finish. Strollers are permitted on the course.
Awards are given to the overall male and female winners and to the top three male and female finishers in the listed age groups. There is no formal awards ceremony; awards may be claimed at the Race Hub table at the finish or picked up later at Run Away Shoes for a limited time. The event is part of the 4imprint Race Series and features strolling magicians performing before and after the run.
A virtual Houdini 10K option is offered; virtual participants receive the commemorative finisher medal, participant shirt, and a sponsor goody bag, but the virtual event is not scored and does not include awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
