YMCA Freaky 5K & Mini Monster Dash
The YMCA Freaky 5K & Mini Monster Dash takes place on 10/31/2026 at Pierce Park in Appleton, Wisconsin, along the Fox River. The event offers multiple short-distance running events and family-oriented activities.

- 3.1 Miles 5K Adult and Youth
- 0.5 Miles Mini Monster Dash kids race
All participants receive a custom finishers medal, chip timing, and refreshments. A Freaky 5K T-shirt is listed for participants who register by 10/18. Registration fees on file are $25 for the adult 5K, $20 for the youth 5K, and $15 for the Mini Monster Dash.
Packet pickup is scheduled on Friday, Oct. 30 at the Appleton YMCA from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, and on Saturday, Oct. 31 at Pierce Park from 6:30 to 8:30 am. The organizer runs a costume contest after the 5K run/walk with awards in Adult, Group, and Child categories. Awards are also presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and the winner in each age group. Age groups include 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
