About the race
Girls on the Run Northeast Indiana holds an end-of-season celebratory 5K on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at Shoaff Park (Riverside Pavilion area) in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event is open to the public and supports the Girls on the Run Scholarship Fund. It is presented as a community celebration that gives program participants a concrete sense of accomplishment, and every registered participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal.
The event includes a village area with entertainment and merchandise for sale, plus additional activities such as face painting, happy hair stations and water stations. Free parking and designated accessible parking are available. The council describes the 5K as a fun, nonchip-timed event that welcomes walking, rolling, pushing or running at each participant’s own pace. Pets are not allowed; service animals are welcome.
Registration uses tiered pricing: Early Bird (8/1–9/30) $25, Standard (10/1–10/31) $35, Delayed (11/1–11/14) $40, and in-person event weekend registration $50. Program participants and coaches are already registered and do not need to register again. All registrants complete a liability waiver, wear a provided race bib, and are assigned a running buddy. Volunteers fill roles such as set-up, course marshals, running buddies and water stations; appointed volunteers undergo a background check.
