Event overview
The Veterans Marathon and Heroes 5K takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Columbia City, Indiana. The event includes the following distances:

Entry fees are listed as $90 for the marathon, $75 for the half-marathon, and $25 for the 5K. Course, awards and post-race
The race starts at the intersection of West Van Buren Street and North Chauncey Street in downtown Columbia City. The course is described as a gently rolling countryside, with flags displayed at the start. The Heroes 5K includes a three-person team challenge where team times are combined for a team award.
Proceeds are allocated to local organizations: 50% of Veterans Marathon profits go to AMVETS post 2919 (South Whitley, Indiana) and 25% to the Columbia City Fire Department. Post-race activities take place in the Clugston at the finish line across from the courthouse on Chauncey Street. Hot soups donated by local restaurants will be available to participants, with options including Chicken Noodle, Vegetarian Vegetable, and Chili.
