About the race
Fort4Fitness, a non-profit organization that hosts fitness events and programs in Northeast Indiana, organizes the Winter Wonder Dash at Franke Park. The event gives participants special access to walk or run through holiday light displays set up by Blue Jacket, Inc., with more than 200 individual displays along the route.
Event formats include these options:
- 2K Family Walk: open start, untimed, bibs provided.
- 5K Walk/Run: timed event for runners and walkers.
- Virtual 2K and 5K: complete anytime and place; not timed.
The 2K is an untimed family walk with an open-start format. The 5K is a timed run/walk with awards for the top three overall male and female finishers in each of these categories: 14 and Under, Overall, and Masters (40+). There is no awards ceremony; winners are notified by email and official results are posted online.
Virtual participants are not timed and do not receive race bibs; they receive t-shirts and commemorative Winter Wonder Dash ornaments, available at packet pick-up or by mail. Packet pick-up, volunteer information, course maps, parking options, and race results are provided by the organizer. There is no gear check. Registration uses tiered pricing that increases for on-site registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
