Winter Wonder Dash
Fort4Fitness, a nonprofit organization focused on promoting healthy living, organizes the Winter Wonder Dash at Franke Park in Fort Wayne. The event offers Fort4Fitness participants special access to walk or run through the park's holiday light displays before the public drive-through opens. The course area features more than 200 light displays. The event dates are November 13 and November 14, 2026.
Distances include:
- 2K Family Walk
- 5K Walk/Run
- Virtual 2K and 5K options
The 2K Family Walk is untimed and participants receive race bibs. The 5K Walk/Run is a timed event with awards for the top three male and female finishers in the following categories: 14 and under, Overall, and Masters (40 and older). There is no awards ceremony; winners receive award information by email and official results are posted afterward.
Virtual participants may complete their distance at any time and place. Virtual entries are not timed and do not receive race bibs; participants receive event t-shirts and commemorative ornaments via packet pick-up or by mail. There is no gear check at the event. The Start Line for the in-person events is located in the parking lot of Pavilion #1 and a parking map is provided for attendees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
