Winter Wonder Dash
Organized by Fort4Fitness, the Winter Wonder Dash takes place at Franke Park and provides participants an opportunity to walk or run through holiday light displays installed by Blue Jacket, Inc. The park features more than 200 light displays, and Fort4Fitness participants have special access to move through the displays before the drive through opens to the public.
Event formats include the following distances and options:
- 2K Family Walk
- 5K Walk/Run
- Virtual 2K
- Virtual 5K
The 2K Family Walk is presented as an untimed event and participants receive race bibs. The 5K is a timed run or walk and awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in three categories: 14 and Under, Overall, and Masters 40 plus. There is no on site awards ceremony; winners are notified by email and results are posted online.
Virtual participants may complete their chosen distance at any location and receive event shirts and commemorative ornaments either during packet pick up or by mail. Virtual entries are not timed and do not receive race bibs. Packet pick up is offered for in person participants. There is no gear check at the event and a parking map is provided for attendees.
