Girls on the Run New Orleans Fall 2026 Celebratory 5K
The Fall 2026 Season Celebratory 5K is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026 at The Shrine on Airline, 6000 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA. The event serves as the season-closing 5K for Girls on the Run New Orleans and is open to program participants as well as community runners and walkers.
The course is 5K (3.1 miles) and is presented as a non-competitive, celebratory event. Community participants and running buddies are timed with chipped race bibs. Every registered participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal. Registration pricing for community participants is listed as Early Bird $35, General $40, and Day-of $45; prices increase three weeks before the event. Program participants, one adult running buddy per participant, and coaches are already registered and do not need to register separately. All registrations include liability waivers.
Safety and accessibility measures are in place: race bibs are required, each participant is paired with a running buddy, the course is monitored with head counts, and staff and volunteers are trained on the council safety plan. The course is accessible for people with disabilities and designated parking is available.
The event includes an Inspiration Village and family activities such as face painting, tutus, and happy hair stations.
