Lewisburg 5K : Girls on the Run Mid State PA
The Lewisburg 5K is the season-closing event for Girls on the Run Mid State PA, held at the Lewisburg YMCA on November 21, 2026. The event is a celebratory 5K (3.1 miles) that gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment; every registered participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal.
Online registration is open from September 18 to November 5. Standard online registration is listed at $30, with day-of registration available at a higher fee. Program participants are pre-registered and do not need to register again. A guaranteed event shirt requires registration by October 19, and a Spirit on the Course sign may be ordered by October 31 for an additional fee.
The event includes a Friends and Family zone and pre-race warm-up and announcements. Free parking and designated accessible parking spots are available. The 5K will not be chip timed. The council provides a safety plan that includes race bibs for all participants, assigned running buddies, course monitoring and head counts, and background checks for council-appointed running buddies. The course is accessible to people who walk, run, roll or use a mobility aid.
Volunteers support many roles such as set-up and tear down, registration, course guides, water stations, cheer stations and recover and refuel stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
