Lewisburg 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Mid State PA Lewisburg 5K is a season-closing, celebratory 5K held at the Lewisburg YMCA in Lewisburg, PA on November 21, 2026. The event marks the end of the program season and gives participants a tangible sense of accomplishment. The course distance is 3.1 miles, and the event is not chip timed. Every registered participant who completes the 5K receives a commemorative medal.
Registration is open online from September 18 through November 5, with a lower early registration fee and a higher day-of-event fee. Program participants have already been registered and do not need to register. There are options to order a guaranteed GOTR 5K shirt and to purchase a Spirit on the Course sign by specified deadlines. Free parking and designated accessible parking are available.
The event includes a Friends and Family Zone with activity stations such as poster, headband, and bracelet making; temporary tattoos and face jewels; a merchandise table; and a photo booth. Volunteers support many roles including cheer stations, course crew, Spirit Runners who accompany participants on the course, water stations, registration assistance, and course clean up. Safety measures include issued race bibs, assigned running buddies for participants, course monitoring with head counts, and a safety plan for staff and volunteers. A 5K Buddy is an individual age 16 or older who is designated to complete the course alongside a program participant and must be registered.
