The Stockville

The Stockville is a two day foot and navigation event inspired by mountain marathons. The race runs over two consecutive days on linear, point to point courses through the wilds of central Pennsylvania. Each morning racers receive maps for that day; maps are printed on water resistant paper, pre-plotted, and may include checkpoint clues and varying scales.

Day 1 ends at a shared midcamp that also serves as the start location for Day 2. Midcamp is a community campout with snacks and camping; tents and cooking supplies are transported to midcamp by the organizers. Each day has a mandatory route that all racers must complete to officially finish, plus optional checkpoints intended for faster, more experienced teams. The mandatory route keeps teams largely on trails while optional checkpoints require more advanced off‑trail navigation.

Participants must carry all food and gear for the event; organizers may conduct spot gear checks and assess penalties for missing mandatory items. The event is sanctioned by the United States Adventure Racing Association and requires either an annual membership or a single event license. Divisions include solos and teams of two to four racers in single gender or mixed gender categories. The event is scheduled for November 14 and 15, 2026, with the exact location pending permitting with Tiadaghton State Forest.

Included with entry are custom swag, live tracking, a safety team, midcamp snacks, post race pizza, on course support, and overnight parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
