About the race
Girls on the Run of the Greater Chesapeake Fall 5K is a season-closing celebratory run held by the local Girls on the Run council. The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 22, 2026, at Druid Hill Park next to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.
The 5K marks the end of each program season and gives participants a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line is presented as a moment that builds confidence through completion. All program participants receive a commemorative medal.
The event is supported by national and local partners and a range of sponsors, including a presenting sponsor and several community partners. Organizers rely on volunteers for many roles, including set-up and tear down, start and finish line support, bib pick-up, course marshals, running buddies, water stations, post 5K refreshments, cheer stations, and event activities such as Happy Hair and Bling Your Bib.
