5K Celebration : Confidence through Accomplishment
The Girls on the Run Greater Charlotte 5K is a season-closing celebratory event for program participants, coaches, running buddies and community runners. It is scheduled for December 12, 2026 at 1423 Red Ventures Dr., Fort Mill, SC. The event marks the end of the fall season and provides participants with a tangible sense of accomplishment.
Program participants and coaches are pre-registered and do not need to register again. Running buddies must be 16 years or older and are required to accompany each program participant for the full course. Family members and community runners may register separately. Registration includes liability waivers and uses tiered pricing with early bird, general, and late rates; example ranges from $20 to $35 depending on category and timing, with a $10 late registration fee applied during the final registration period.
All registered finishers receive a finisher medal and event t-shirt while supplies last; running buddies and community runners are eligible for these items. The course is accessible for people with disabilities and designated parking is available. The event is held rain or shine. Practical rules include no pets, no drones, strollers allowed in the final wave, and the race is not chip timed though a finish line clock will be available.
