About the race
Girls on the Run Chippewa Valley holds a community celebratory 5K at Carson Park in Eau Claire, WI on May 8, 2027. The event is a non-competitive run, walk, or roll that closes the season and gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment.
The course length is 3.1 miles. Every registered participant who completes the 5K receives a commemorative medal. Program participants and coaches are pre-registered; family members, community members, and additional participants must register separately and sign a liability waiver. A designated 5K Buddy is required for each participant; 5K Buddies must be 16 years or older and able to complete the course alongside the participant.
The council describes several on-site activities and amenities including face painting, happy hair, bib decorating, water stations, cheer stations, and a merchandise booth.
