Event overview
The Frigid 8 and Thermal 3 take place on December 6, 2025, in Chippewa Falls, WI. The event includes the Frigid 8 and Thermal 3 races and is hosted at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1300 Mansfield, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. Registration is online only. Registrants receive a technical running shirt. Bathroom facilities are available.
Course, timing and awards
The event is chip-timed. The overall winner of the 8 mile race will receive a $200 cash purse. Top male and female finishers receive special awards. Top men's and women's age group finishers receive special Christmas ornaments. An awards ceremony will follow the race finish. There is one water stop on the course at the usual corner, and water will be available at the finish line. Age divisions are 9 & under; 10-13; 14-17; 18-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+. There is a sign-up option for those interested in bringing food items such as chilly or something sweet. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
