Cecil & Harford 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Central Maryland Cecil and Harford 5K is the end-of-season, celebratory 5K for program participants and community members. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 100 Marion Tapp Pkwy, Perryville, MD 21903. The course covers 5K (3.1 miles) and is described as accessible for people with disabilities; participants may walk, run, roll, push or skip at their own pace and designated accessible parking is available.
Program participants receive a commemorative medal. Registered participants will receive a 5K shirt if registered by April 27, 2026. Registration categories listed include 5K Buddy and Community Participant, each priced at $40, and the event policy states no refunds. Program participants and coaches listed by the council are already registered and do not need to register again.
The event includes additional activities such as sign making, a photo booth, water stops, happy hair stations, and merchandise for sale. Safety measures include race bibs for all participants, a running buddy system, course monitoring with head counts, and a council safety plan that trains staff and volunteers. Volunteers assist with set up and tear down, registration, course marshals, running buddies, water stations, cheer stations and activity stations; volunteers appointed through the council undergo background checks.
