Cats & Bats Haunted 5K - October 31, 2026
Cats & Bats Haunted 5K is a Halloween-day running event held at Festival Park in Aberdeen, MD. The event includes an in-person, timed 5K on a USATF certified course, an untimed 1-mile fun run, and a virtual 5K option for participants who will not attend in person.
Event distances:
- 3.11 Miles timed in-person 5K with chip timing and finisher medal
- 1 Mile untimed fun run with shirt and medal
- 3.11 Miles (virtual) virtual 5K with mailed shirt and medal
Registration and fees are set in advance. In-person 5K early price is $30 through September 30, 2026, increasing October 1; virtual 5K is $35 and includes mailing of event shirt and medal. The 1-mile fun run fee is $25 through September 30, increasing October 1. A mailing option for race materials is available for an additional $8.
Packet pickup is organized on race morning at Festival Park under the pavilion; details for early pickup will be announced. Custom event shirts are subject to size availability; registering by October 15 is recommended to guarantee size choice.
The event proceeds benefit the National PTSD Foundation, a 501(c)(3). The race is professionally managed and timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC. The event takes place rain or shine and ticket sales are final with no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
