Girls on the Run Capital Region Spring 5K
The Spring Girls on the Run 5K is a non chip timed, season closing event for Girls on the Run participants and community runners. It is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the Shaker High School Campus, 445 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, NY 12110.
The event is described as a celebratory 5K that gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment. Program participants and coaches have already been registered and do not need to register separately.
Registration opens on February 10 and online registration closes at midnight on May 8. Pre registration pricing from 2/10 to 5/8 is Community Runner $25, 5k Buddy $25, and Youth Community Runner (Under 16) $20. Race day pricing is Community Runner $35, 5k Buddy $35, and Youth Community Runner (Under 16) $30. All registered runners will receive a 5k Finisher Medal.
Commemorative 5K T shirts are available for pre purchase during registration through April 24 for $10. Shirts will not be available after that date because the order will be placed with the vendor in advance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
