Last Chance XC Championships

Last Chance XC Championships takes place on November 15, 2026 at Oak Ridge Park in Clark, New Jersey. The meeting includes high school, open, club, youth, and short sprint events on a double-loop, flat course at the park. The high school 5k races are NJSIAA and NFHS sanctioned; clubs and unattached runners are not permitted in those races.

Event distances and formats:

• High School 5k (NJSIAA & NFHS sanctioned)
• New Jersey 5k XC Championships (open, club, adults, youth)
• Youth 3k (grades 3-8)
• Open 400m dash

Team scoring and awards are organized by time. Three team champions will be recognized: boys (3 scoring runners per team), girls (3 scoring runners per team), and co-ed (4 scoring runners per team, consisting of two boys and two girls). Schools that enter more than three runners will have teams assigned by finish times (top three = A Team, next three = B Team, etc). Medals are awarded to the top 30 finishers in each 5k race; trophies are awarded to the top three boys and girls teams. Additional event amenities listed by the organizer include music, course photography, oversized medals, and personalized bibs.

Entry fees and deadlines follow the organizer's published structure, and entries are submitted through Milesplit or RunSignUp. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
