Event Overview
The Girlings Ashford & District RRC 10 & 5 Mile is a running event organized by Ashford & District RRC that takes place in Kent. Course and Logistics
The route features a mixture of rolling hills, open countryside, and tarmac stretches. While the course primarily uses tarmac roads, these remain open to traffic during the event. The start and finish lines are situated on Sandyhurst Lane, which is approximately a five-minute walk from the race headquarters.
Free parking is available on-site at Towers School. The event provides a tail walker for participants and includes marshals stationed along the route. Refreshments, including cake, are available for attendees.
Finishers and Awards
Finishers receive either a bespoke medal or a race buff, depending on their registration date. Specifically, entrants who registered before February 9, 2026, are allocated a medal, while later entrants receive a race buff. Prizes are awarded to the leading runners.
