20th Annual Girlfriends Run
The Girlfriends Run is an annual sports event held in Vancouver, Washington, focused on supporting women's health and breast cancer awareness. The event takes place along the Vancouver waterfront at 695 Waterfront Way. Over its 18-year history, participants and the associated Pink Brigade have raised more than $900,000 for women's causes.
Participants can choose from various distances and participation styles, including traditional running, walking, or a combination of both. The event features multiple course lengths to accommodate different preferences:
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10K Run
- 6K / 4 Miles Run or Walk
In addition to the physical event in Vancouver, virtual options are available for the Half Marathon, 10K, and 6K distances. Specific registration categories are also offered for those participating as "Glam Gals" or as part of the "Pink Brigade." The event is designed as a collective activity for women to support a significant health cause while engaging in physical exercise.
The course is open to both competitive and recreational participants. Every year, the event honors those affected by breast cancer, continuing a tradition that began support a local community member. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
