Girl Scouts of Nassau County Thin Mint Sprint 5K Race & 1 Mile Family Walk
The event is scheduled for September 20, 2026, at Jones Beach (Parking Field 1), Wantagh, NY. It includes a timed 5K run/walk and an untimed 1 Mile family walk. The event is held rain or shine.

Registered participants receive event amenities: a Thin Mint Sprint t-shirt, a box of Girl Scout Cookies, and for 5K finishers a finisher medal. Personalized bibs are available for registrants who register at least three weeks before race day. The 1 Mile entry includes a patch and a generic event bib for some registration options. Live, same-day results and free finish-line photos are provided; finish-line video and photos are available online.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and female overall finishers and top three male and female finishers in age groups (18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). Registration fees are non-refundable and are used toward race expenses. Proceeds support financial assistance programs for Girl Scouts of Nassau County, including membership fees, uniforms, books, badges, and supplies.
