Girl Scouts of Nassau County Thin Mint Sprint 5K Race & 1 Mile Family Walk
The Thin Mint Sprint is a community running event at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, NY, held on September 20, 2026. The event offers a timed 5K and an untimed 1 Mile family walk, with on-site amenities and race-day services.

5K participants receive an event t-shirt, a finisher medal, a box of Girl Scout Cookies, and may request a personalized bib if registered three weeks before the event. 1 Mile participants receive an event t-shirt, an event patch, and a box of Girl Scout Cookies; 1 Mile entries include a generic Thin Mint Sprint 2025 bib when noted.
The 5K awards the top three male and female overall finishers and the top three male and female in age groups: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Live, text, and email results are provided and finish line photos are available at no cost.
Registration fees and additional options such as donations affect the total price; all fees are non-refundable and are used for race expenses. Bib mailing begins the Monday prior to the event; bibs are not required to participate. Virtual participants may upload times and photos between September 20 and September 27 using the event results system.
