About the race
The Girl Scouts of Nassau County Thin Mint Sprint is scheduled for September 20, 2026 at Jones Beach State Park, Parking Field 1 (West End), 1 Ocean Pkwy., Wantagh, NY 11793. The event takes place rain or shine and offers both a timed 5K and an untimed 1 Mile family walk.

The 5K participants receive an event t-shirt, a finisher medal, a box of Girl Scout Cookies, and access to live/text/email results plus free finish line photos. Personalized bibs are available for runners who register three weeks before race day. The 1 Mile walk includes an event t-shirt, an event patch, and a box of Girl Scout Cookies. Bib pickup begins one hour before the event; last-minute registrants receive their bib number by text shortly after registering.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and female overall and top three male and female in age groups 18 & under, 19–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60+. Registration fees are nonrefundable. Proceeds provide financial assistance to help girls participate in Girl Scouting by covering membership fees, uniforms, books, badges, and supplies.
Virtual participants may upload times and photos during the period beginning September 20 through September 27 and may use tracked routes, treadmill records, or measured courses to report results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
