Girl Scouts of Nassau County Thin Mint Sprint 5K Race & 1 Mile Family Walk
The event is a community run and family walk held at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, New York on September 20, 2026. It offers an in-person 5K run/walk and a 1 Mile family walk along courses available through online route maps.

Participants receive event amenities that include an event t-shirt, a box of Girl Scout cookies, and event-specific items by distance. 5K finishers receive a finisher medal and may receive a personalized bib if registered three weeks in advance. The 1 Mile option includes an event patch. The event provides live, text, and email results plus free finish line photos.
Awards are given for the top three male and female overall finishers and for the top three male and female finishers in age groups 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus.
Registration fees vary by option and by registration date and include processing fees. All registration fees are non-refundable. Bib pickup is available starting one hour before the event. Virtual participants can upload times and photos during a specified post-event window.
