Girl Scouts of Nassau County Thin Mint Sprint 5K Race & 1 Mile Family Walk
This event, scheduled for September 20, 2026, takes place at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, New York, with staging at Parking Field 1 (West End). The program offers two course options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Family Walk
Registered participants receive event amenities. 5K entrants are provided a t-shirt, finisher medal, a box of Girl Scout Cookies, and may receive a personalized bib if registered three weeks before the event. 1 Mile participants receive a t-shirt, event patch, and a box of Girl Scout Cookies. Live, text, and email results are available, and free finish line photos are provided for the 5K.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and female overall finishers and top three male and female in age groups: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Bib pickup is available starting one hour before the event; late registrants may receive a bib number by text soon after registering.
The event supports fundraising for Girl Scouts of Nassau County. Proceeds are intended to provide financial assistance to help cover membership fees, uniforms, books, badges, and supplies so more girls can participate in scouting activities.
