Gingerbread 5K & 1M Fun Run
The Gingerbread event is a run with two distances:
- 5K
- 1M fun run
It takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Saddlehorn Park, 9199 Saddlehorn Drive, Irving, TX 75063. The event is insured and sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
Event details and logistics
All finishers receive a finisher medal; there will be no awards ceremony. The 5K is chip timed with disposable chips attached to the bib; bibs must be worn visibly on the front. The 1M fun run is not timed. The minimum age for the 5K is 6; there is no minimum age for the 1M. Pets are not allowed on the 5K course but are welcome in the 1M. Strollers are allowed. Scooters, roller or inline skates, and bikes are not permitted in sanctioned events. T-shirt sizes offered include XS, S, M, L, XL, and 2X. Packet pickup is available Thursday and Friday of race week at 8830 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, with late packet pickup at the event site on race morning. Late registration is available on event morning via mobile device; cash is not accepted. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Race management may change schedules or courses for safety or weather reasons. Headphone use during the race is strongly discouraged for safety.
