Gillham Road GobbleTrot

The Gillham Road GobbleTrot is a Thanksgiving morning 5K run and walk held in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. The event starts and finishes at the Pilgrim Chapel, 3801 Gillham Road, and follows a USATF certified course that travels along Gillham Road and through the historic Hyde Park area.

All in-person 5K participants are chip timed. The event offers an in-person option and a virtual 5K option for those who prefer to participate remotely. Packet pick-up is available in the days before Thanksgiving with three pickup opportunities; mailed packets are available for an extra fee but are not guaranteed to arrive by race day.

All proceeds benefit the Pilgrim Center for Connection and support the Center's free community programming, including the Pilgrim Labyrinth & Butterfly Garden, Sacred Space, an annual May Festival, and a Winter Solstice Concert.

Age divisions are provided across a wide range from 9 and under through 85 and older, with first, second, and third place awards in each division. Male and Female Masters receive a custom-engraved stainless steel travel cup. A Children's Dash for kids 8 and under follows the 5K, with short distances for younger divisions.
