Gig Harbor Turkey Trot
The Gig Harbor Turkey Trot is an annual community 5K organized by Holmes Chiropractic Care and held on Thanksgiving morning in Gig Harbor. The event is a timed 5K run.
Packet pickup and t-shirt sales take place the day before the event at Chapel Hill Church, 7700 Skansie Avenue, with additional packet pickup and any remaining shirts at the starting area on the day of the event. T-shirts are sold for $20.
Registration details: online preregistration is $30, day-of registration is $60, and participants aged 12 and under register free. Day-of registration price is higher than preregistration. The event requests that participants bring two cans of food to the starting area for local distribution; donation vans will be on site.
Proceeds support local food banks and community programs, including FISH Food Bank, Food 4 All / Food Backpacks 4 Kids, the Bischoff Food Bank, and college scholarships for local high schools.
