Gift of Life 5K Run/Walk
The Gift of Life event on October 3, 2026 takes place at Lady Bird Johnson Park in San Antonio, TX. The event features a 5K run/walk and a 1K Kids Dash for children ages 11 and under. The park is paved and fully accessible.
Registration has a fee of $40 and includes a t-shirt and a medal. A team sponsorship option for $100 includes five entries; teams are invited to wear matching shirts or costumes in honor of a transplant recipient. All participants, including children, receive medals.
Age categories for the 5K are listed as:
- Ages 12–17
- Ages 18–39
- Ages 40+
Sponsorship packages are available at multiple levels, including Presenting, Hero, Partner, Friend, and Team Spirit, with benefits that range from event recognition to complimentary entries. Vendor opportunities are offered; selling merchants pay a fee while non-selling merchants may participate at no cost.
The event is presented by the Gordon Hartman Family Foundation and includes opportunities for sponsors to support Transplants for Children programs and services.
