Gibside Wild New Year Trail Runs
Gibside Wild New Year Trail Runs offers two trail distances set within Gibside National Trust, an 18th-century designed landscape of over 600 acres of gardens, woodland, and countryside. The route passes historic features such as the Neo-classical Chapel, a restored stable block, and a large ruin, with opportunities to spot deer along the way.
Event distances:
- 5 Mile Trail Run (Age 15+)
- 10 Mile Trail Run (Age 17+)
The event is Canicross friendly with one controlled dog allowed per runner. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North and results are available throughout the event. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An exclusive event T-shirt is available for £14.00. Free parking is available on site. Route maps will be confirmed by the organiser. Gibside is part of the National Trust and spectators need to show a National Trust pass or pay for entry into the grounds.
