Gibside Trail Runs 2026
An evening trail running event at Gibside National Trust in Rowlands Gill, NE16 6BG. The course runs within the estate, a more than 600 acre 18th century designed landscape of gardens, woodland and countryside. The site contains historic architecture and viewpoints, including a Neo-classical chapel, a restored stable block and a large ruin, and wildlife such as deer may be seen along the routes.
Distances offered:
- 5 km Trail Run (age 11+)
- 10 km Trail Run (age 15+)
Route maps are provided for both distances. The event is Canicross friendly and allows one controlled dog per runner. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North, with results available during the event. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise and a snack and drink. An optional event T-shirt is available for an additional fee of £12.00. Parking is available on site. The event is organised by Wild Deer Events.
