Ghastly Gorge Grind
Ghastly Gorge Grind takes place in Wentworth, NS. The event offers multiple distances including a main 25K race and a shorter option called the Ghastly Gorge Giggle of about 6 km.

The course is built around a loop of approximately 12.5 kilometers with almost 700 meters of vertical gain per loop. Start and finish are at the Barn. The route is predominantly singletrack with steep ascents and fast downhill sections, river crossings, a bridge over Horse Pasture River, and a waterfall. The loop reaches the highest point in mainland Nova Scotia and passes trails named Crazy Creek / Ghastly Gorge, Shunpike, Pussy Willow, Northern Hart and Hart Peak. There is no backtracking on most of the route except for the final 200 meters from the bottom of the ski hill to the Barn.
The event has a community focus and a social finish. Each runner receives a ticket for one complimentary beverage, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, and food is available for purchase. Donations are planned for the local fire department. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
