Pugwash Harbourfest - Land Events
The Land Events program lists several waterfront activities during Pugwash Harbourfest. The schedule includes the timed 5K Salt Dash on Water Street. Timing is provided by Route541 using transponders that deliver second-accurate results uploaded in real time. Registration for the 5K includes a run shirt; the first 60 finishers receive a handcrafted pewter medal from Basic Spirit. Windsor Salt is the major sponsor of the 5K. A course map is published.
Other land events take place around Eaton Park and nearby locations. Highlights include a beach volleyball tournament with a $60 team fee, a minimum of four players per team and a requirement that at least one female player is on the court at all times; the winning team doubles its prize. Family offerings include bouncy castles in the Kid Zone, a Zumba dance party on the harbourfront stage, tractor shuttle/hay wagon rides to move around the grounds, an Antique Car Show and Shine, and a Sunday morning outdoor yoga session overlooking Pugwash Harbour.
