Salomon Wascally Wabbit 2026
Salomon Wascally Wabbit 2026 takes place on May 9, 2026 at the Fundy Trail Snowmobile Club in Folly Lake, Nova Scotia. The event offers two trail loop options with significant elevation gain.
Distances:
- 31 km with +1040 m
- 62 km with +2080 m
The 31 km route deviates from the original course around 6.5 km, follows an ATV trail downhill, then a new climb that turns into singletrack and rejoins the original route near 10 km. Aid stations are located at about 18 km on the loop (Gerry's cabin) and at the start/finish area. Aid includes water, Coke, Tailwind and standard station fare. No cups will be provided at aid stations so participants must bring their own drinking vessel.
Cut-off times are published for key points: km 17.5 = 3h30, km 31 for 62 km runners to begin loop 2 = 4h45, km 48.5 = 7h15. Missing some cut-offs may require hiking to a pickup point.
Camping is allowed in the club parking area. Mandatory gear to carry for the entire race includes a charged cell phone, a running jacket, a first aid kit, a buff or toque, at least 1 L of water or two bottles, and food and drink for the loop. Random gear checks will be conducted and missing mandatory items will result in disqualification.
Registration notes: listed fees apply for each distance, entries are nonrefundable, spots may be sold to others, and deferrals are allowed only in exchange for volunteering.
