Salomon Wascally Wabbit 2026

The Salomon Wascally Wabbit XIV takes place in Folly Lake, Nova Scotia, based at the Fundy Trail Snowmobile Club. The event features a loop-based course that utilizes a mix of ATV trails and singletrack sections. The route deviates from the original pre-2019 course at the 6.5 km mark, following an ATV trail downhill before a new climb that eventually connects back to the original trail at approximately the 10 km mark.

Available distances include:

  • 31 km with 1040 m of elevation gain.
  • 62 km with 2080 m of elevation gain.

Participants have the option to camp on the property of the snowmobile club starting Friday night. Aid stations are located approximately 18 km into the loop at Gerry's cabin and at the start/finish area. These stations are cup-less, requiring runners to provide their own drinking vessels. Specific cut-off times are enforced at the mid-loop aid station and at the completion of the first loop for those in the longer distance.

Mandatory gear is required for all participants, including a charged cell phone, a running jacket (waterproof or windproof), a first aid kit (gauze, bandages, medical tape, and emergency blanket), a buff or toque, and a minimum of 1L water capacity. Registration includes event swag and insurance. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
