The Event
A Weekend in Wentworth 2026 is the 6th edition of this timed loop event, held at Wentworth Provincial Park in Nova Scotia on June 13, 2026. The event has a "We are Family - Reunion" theme. All registrations include a shirt. There are no refunds or deferrals, but transfers are available until May 1.
The Races
Participants can choose between two events:
- 24-hour event (A Day in Wentworth 24 Hr): Run as many loops as possible within 24 hours.
- 32-hour event (A Weekend in Wentworth): Aim for 100 miles (approximately 35 loops) within 32 hours. Those who complete 200 kilometers receive an additional piece of swag.
Both events have no time limit per loop, and participants can start and stop at their own pace.
The Course
The loop is approximately 4.59 km long, with a mix of single track, gravel, and a short paved section. The course has low elevation gain and is considered low technical difficulty.
Logistics
This is a cupless event; no cups are provided for hot or cold beverages. One aid station at the start/finish line offers water, an electrolyte drink, lap boards, and basic nutrition. Free camping is available on Friday night in a designated area, and participants can set up personal aid stations along the course. Race directors will be on site Friday evening to direct campers. Headlamps and reflective gear are recommended for those running after dusk. The event is open to runners, hikers, and walkers of all ability levels.
