Event Overview
A Weekend in Wentworth returns for its sixth year at Wentworth Provincial Park in Nova Scotia. The event features a trail running format based on a repeating loop of approximately 4.59 km. The course consists of a mixture of single track, gravel, and a short paved section. It is characterized by low technical difficulty and approximately 25 meters of elevation gain per loop.
Participants can choose from two primary time-based options:
- 24 Hours: A repeating loop where participants start and stop at their own pace, taking breaks as needed.
- 32 Hours: An extended timeframe specifically designed for those aiming to achieve a 100-mile distance. Runners who complete 100 miles receive a finishing buckle, and those who reach 200 kilometers receive additional commemorative items.
The event is cupless, meaning participants must provide their own containers for beverages. A single aid station is located at the start line providing water, electrolyte drinks, and basic nutrition. Free camping is available within a designated area for participants starting the Friday evening before the event. Registration includes a shirt for all participants. Headlamps and reflective gear are required for anyone active on the course after dusk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
