About the race
A Weekend in Wentworth is a multi‑option trail running event held at Wentworth Provincial Park on June 12 to 13, 2027. The course is a loop of approximately 4.5 km combining single track, gravel and a short paved section. The terrain is described as low technical with low elevation and there is no time limit per loop.
Available race options include:
- Up to 24 hours
- Up to 32 hours with 100 miles and 200 km milestones
- 6 hours
The event is cupless; cups are not provided at the aid station. The single Start/Finish aid station will supply water, an electrolyte drink, boards to mark laps and basic nutrition items. Participants may set up their own aid stations along the course. Camping the night before is available free of charge in the park. A BBQ is included in the race fee and other hot items will be available overnight.
Organizers state there are no refunds or deferrals; transfers are permitted until June 9. The 32 hour option includes milestone awards: a buckle for completing 100 miles and a buckle plus an engraved Yeti water bottle for completing 200 km. Each participant will receive a customized finishing sticker. Ten dollars from each registration will be donated to the Wentworth Food Bank. The event has a Hawaiian theme and runners are encouraged to use headlamps and reflective gear if running after dusk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
