About the race
The Greeneville City Schools Education Foundation hosts the 12th Annual GCSEF Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning at Burley Stadium, 210 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN. The event is presented as a local, healthy holiday tradition and is described as family friendly.
Registration opens August 31, 2026 and closes November 10, 2026. The registration fee is $15.00. Funds raised benefit the Greeneville City Schools Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides funding for innovative projects in Greeneville City Schools that go beyond the regular operating budget.
The event includes a school participation challenge in which the Greeneville City School with the highest percentage of participation receives a cash prize. Last year Eastview Elementary School won the participation challenge and received $500 to benefit Physical Education programming.
The description focuses on community support for education, local holiday tradition, and the allocation of raised funds to school projects outside regular budgets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
