The GCA Charge Ahead 5K and Relay/Ruck is a fundraising 5K event on April 25, 2026, held at The Lamb's Chapel, Airport Campus, 3539 Alamance Rd, Burlington, NC 27215. The event benefits the future of Grace Christian Academy and is organized as a run/walk around a short loop course.
The course is a 0.62-mile loop completed five times for a total of 3.1 miles. Event formats offered are a 5K Solo, a 5K two to five person relay (teams complete five laps in any combination, two person minimum), and a 5K Ruck, in which participants complete the five laps while wearing a weighted vest. Pre-registration and race day fees differ by event; race day registration fees are higher than pre-registration fees. All participants receive a t shirt and a swag bag; registration by April 11 guarantees a t shirt.
Awards are presented for the solo event with overall male and female places plus age group awards (age groups include 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). Relay teams receive 1st through 3rd place team awards. The ruck category includes first overall male and female awards.
