Gather 5K
The GATHER 5K and Fun Run is a fundraising event on September 19, 2026, in Spring Grove, Illinois. It is hosted by Place to Gather Community Center and will raise funds for the Swiss Family Robinson Adventure Playground at 1154 Rte 173, Spring Grove, IL 60081. The playground is planned as an intergenerational, all-inclusive playscape intended to welcome people with visible and invisible physical and cognitive disabilities. Phase 1 is scheduled to break ground in late spring or early summer.

- 5K Fun Run/Walk
- 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk
- Kids 100 Yard Dash (free)
Entry fees reported are $35 per person for the 5K and $25 per person for the 1.5 mile event; both include a performance t-shirt and a swag bag. The kids 100 yard dash is free. Participation options described include in-person running, remote running, and sponsorship or fundraising support. Walking and strollers are welcome.
Event amenities noted include food trucks before, during, and after the event and a kids bounce house. Pre-registration packet pick up is available Friday, September 18 from 4-7pm at LifeSpring Community Church, 1154 Rte 173, Spring Grove, IL, or Saturday, September 19 from 8-9am.
