Gather 5K & 1.5 Mile Fun Run
The Gather 5K and 1.5 Mile Fun Run is a community event held in Spring Grove, Illinois at 1154 Rte 173, Siedschlag and Route 173. The event is presented by Place to Gather Community Center and takes place on September 19, 2026.
Proceeds from registrations, fundraising, and sponsorships will support the Swiss Family Robinson Adventure Playground. The playground project, led by PtG Community Center as a 501(c)(3) public charity, is planned as an intergenerational, all-inclusive playscape that welcomes visitors of varying ages and abilities, including people with visible and invisible physical or cognitive disabilities. The project is scheduled to break ground in late spring or early summer.

The event includes an event T shirt and swag bag, a Remote Runners option for virtual participation, gift cards for the top male and top female runners, a 100 yard dash for children ages 5 to 12 with prizes, food trucks, bouncy houses, and a soccer clinic. Packet pick up is available at the event and at LifeSpring Community Church on the Friday before the race.
Refunds are not permitted. Participants may transfer a bib, change shirt size, defer registration to another event, or change distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
