The 10th Annual Gateway to Space 5K/10K takes place on March 7, 2026, at the Launch and Landing Facility (formerly Shuttle Landing Facility) at Kennedy Space Center. The event includes in-person and virtual options. The racecourse is USATF certified: 5K - FL23017JK and 10K - FL23016JK.

Participation and registration
In-person participation is restricted to U.S. citizens aged 12 and older. No spectators are permitted due to federal spaceport restrictions. Published entry prices at the time of the listing are $50 for the 5K (previously $60) and $60 for the 10K (previously $70). Prices increase after January 4, 2026. Virtual 5K registration is shown as $50 and closes March 4, 2026.
Fundraising and partnerships
The event benefits the American Cancer Society. Fundraising rewards are available at specified levels; raising $250 or more qualifies the participant for a full refund of the race registration fee. A referral program offers a $25 refund after five confirmed referrals. The event is hosted in partnership with Space Florida. Fundraising progress shown is $4,189 raised of a $10,000 goal.
