About the race
Courcey AC presents the Garrettstown 5 Mile, a looped road race on public roads around Garrettstown, Garrylucas and Ballinspittle in Kinsale, County Cork. The course is a measured five mile loop certified under permit number 26/489 and was measured by an AIMS/World Athletics Grade A measurer. The event is chip timed and limited in capacity. Entrants must be at least 15 years old on race day.
Entry is a single race fee of €20 plus booking fee; entries are non-refundable and non-transferrable. A One Day Licence fee of €2 applies to non-Athletics Ireland registered runners and is collected during registration; this fee does not apply to Athletics Ireland registered club members. Buggies and strollers are not permitted. The event is restricted to running and jogging; walking is not permitted.
Number and t-shirt pickup information, and parking details, will be provided closer to the event. Postage of number and t-shirt is optional, with pickup available the day before and the morning of the race. Prizes are awarded for Men and Ladies 1st through 5th, age categories including U21, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and a Homegrown Men and Ladies category for top three. Post race prize giving and refreshments will take place at Ballinspittle Community Hall.
