Garrettstown 5 Mile 2026
Courcey AC stages a looped 5 mile road race in the Garrettstown area of Kinsale, County Cork. The course runs on back roads and main roads between Ballinspittle, Garrettstown and Garrylucas beach near the Old Head of Kinsale. The route starts at Garrylucas and includes a final mile with views of the Atlantic Ocean passing Garrettstown beach.
Participants must be 15 years or older on race day. Entry is priced at €20 plus booking fee; entries are non refundable and non transferrable. The event has a capped capacity and is chip timed. Buggies and strollers are not permitted. This is a running and jogging only event; walking is not permitted.
The race is held under an Athletics Ireland permit/licence and the course was measured by a Grade A AIMS/World Athletics measurer. Prizes are awarded for male and female overall places 1 to 5, age categories including U21, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80, and separate homegrown male and female placings. Course record prizes are listed by the organisers.
Number and tee shirt pickup details, parking information, and optional postage for number and tee are provided closer to the event.
