Clonakilty 5 Mile Road Race 2026
The Clonakilty 5 Mile Road Race is scheduled for 25 January 2026 and is the third running of this event. A permit has been approved, certificate number 25/145. The event donates 100% of monies raised to local charities and has raised approximately €40,000 to date since its inception.
The course begins and finishes at the Clonakilty Park Hotel. The route follows Inchydoney Road, crosses the first Causeway, passes Clogheen Cottages and returns to the hotel, where finish line refreshments are provided. The event welcomes both runners and walkers and is organised as a road race of 5 mile distance.
Race registration and merchandise collection take place at the Clonakilty Park Cinema. Registration opens on Saturday 24 January from 19:00 to 21:00 and continues on Sunday 25 January from 07:30. Any ordered vests or t-shirts must be collected at registration because organisers will not post merchandise. T-shirts and vests must be ordered before 9 December.
