This is an annual December charity race in Cork that was postponed until Sunday December 21 because of an orange weather warning for rain. The event is held each year in December and supports a local charity.
The race uses an unusual 5 km format: runners estimate how long the route will take them and the entry whose estimate is closest to their actual finishing time wins. Watches are not allowed. Santa outfits are optional.
The course starts and finishes on Bessboro Rd, off the Skehard Rd. Registration takes place at Blackrock Hurling Club and entries cost €10 for everybody.
