Event Information
The Game On! Escape to Hutchinson Island Triathlon takes place at Stuart Beach on Hutchinson Island, Florida. The event includes eight different disciplines:
- International Triathlon
- International Duathlon
- International Aquabike
- Sprint Triathlon
- Sprint Duathlon
- International Triathlon Relay
- Sprint Triathlon Relay
Relay events can be completed by teams of two or three people.
Course Details
The event begins with an open water swim in the Atlantic Ocean. The swim distances are 0.25 miles for the Sprint and 0.5 miles for the International distance.
The bike course proceeds north along highway A1A. It is described as flat. The distances are 10 miles for the Sprint and 20 miles for the International, which requires two laps.
The run course goes underneath the Ernest Lyons Bridge and offers views of the water. The distances are 3.1 miles for the Sprint and 6.2 miles for the International.
Venue and Charity
Stuart Beach is located across from the Elliott Museum and the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center. The park has amenities including covered picnic areas, beach volleyball courts, showers, and restrooms. A food concession called the Chef Shack is on-site.
The race benefits the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center, a marine life nature center and environmental organization. It is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
