Event Information
The Game Changers 5k Repeater Challenge takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Saint Simons Island, Georgia, starting and finishing at the Game Changers Running Company store in Red Fern Village.
Event Format
This is a unique, timed challenge where participants attempt to run as many laps as possible. Each lap is a 3-mile course, and runners must complete each lap within a 45-minute time limit. The event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is a total of 12 possible laps, equaling 36 miles. All participants start each lap together at the same time.
Prizes and Rules
For each lap completed, participants receive entries into a drawing for a free pair of shoes from Game Changers Running Company. The number of drawing entries increases with each lap (e.g., Lap 1 = 1 entry, Lap 2 = 2 entries). To earn these drawing entries, runners must start at 8:00 a.m. and run laps consecutively; arriving later allows participation but not drawing entries.
The overall winner is determined by who completes the most laps, with the fastest time for that number of laps used as a tiebreaker. The winner receives a free pair of shoes and a trophy sponsored by the Golden Isles Track Club. All participants who complete the challenge receive a SWAG bag. There are no shirts or age group awards.
Logistics
The event is sponsored by Game Changers Running Store and the Golden Isles Track Club. Nutrition and hydration will be available throughout the day.
