Course and logistics
The Marathon and Half Marathon routes pass through Beach Town and East Beach and run along the Galveston Seawall. The course is described as flat and is designed to be accessible to wheelchair and handcycle athletes. The marathon has a 6-hour overall cutoff and a 13.1-mile split cutoff at 3 hours.
Packet pickup is scheduled on the days before the race and on race morning at Stewart Beach; packet pickup locations before race day include On The Run in Houston and Galveston Island Running Co. Registration includes a commemorative technical shirt (long sleeve for full and half; short sleeve for the 5K), a finisher medal, and post-race food and drinks.
